October 21 marks 5th annual NJCAA Day
Charlotte, NC – The NJCAA will host the fifth annual NJCAA Day on Thursday, October 21 as the association celebrates opportunity, history, and the unity of member colleges, student-athletes, administrators, alumni, and fans. The association will highlight its long-standing traditions and showcase how NJCAA members support student-athlete success on and around campus.
This year's comprehensive theme, In This Together, will center around the upcoming 50th anniversary of Title IX, equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) efforts, sportsmanship, and NJCAA pride. Since its inception, NJCAA Day has sought to encourage collaboration around the association, uniting the past, present, and future of those who have passed through.
As the first association to establish a women's division in college athletics, the NJCAA has a rich history in pioneering new and exciting opportunities for student-athletes and member colleges around the nation. Regardless of background and circumstance, each part of the NJCAA offers value and purpose. The NJCAA encourages all to take to social media on #NJCAADay to experience the day-long celebration of the association and its members.
"The NJCAA is unlike any other organization due to its makeup and culture of togetherness everywhere you look," stated Dr. Christopher Parker, NJCAA President and CEO. "Each October, we look forward to celebrating NJCAA Day and looking back on history and another year of immeasurable success."
A number of templates and resources for specific social media platforms to utilize throughout NJCAA Day can be found in the NJCAA Day Marketing Toolkit.
Last year's theme, Forward as One, focused on moving forward as a unified association after a challenging year where many championships and sport seasons were unable to take place. Despite adversity, NJCAA members rose to the occasion and displayed many accomplishments.
