NJCAA National Office leadership team restructuring announced
Charlotte, NC - NJCAA President & CEO Dr. Christopher J. Parker has announced a restructuring of the National Office's leadership team to support the recently announced five-year strategic plan. The updated structure creates new opportunities for future growth by aligning departments to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
"In our pursuit to provide opportunities to student-athletes and member colleges through the NJCAA, it is important for our office to be structured efficiently in order to produce meaningful results," said Parker, who is entering his fifth year as President & CEO. "Having the right leaders in the best position possible to be successful is critically important and I am excited to move forward as we aim to fulfill the newly presented strategic plan."
- Jeff White, who joined the National Office in 2019, has been promoted to Senior Vice President for Internal Affairs and Diversity. White will continue to oversee compliance and eligibility, while also leading the association's equity, diversity, and inclusion efforts. He will also continue to serve as in-house legal counsel and manage human resources for the National Office, in addition to serving as Executive Director of NJCAA Esports.
- Entering his fifth academic year with the National Office, Brian Luckett has been promoted to Senior Vice President for External Affairs and Development. In addition to his oversight of marketing and communications, media rights, and revenue generation, Luckett will also oversee the association's 54 national championships. He will continue his role as Executive Director of the NJCAA Foundation, a role he has served since its inception in 2019.
- Former NCAA National Office staff member Molly Simon's responsibilities have been adjusted to oversight of governance and membership. As Vice President for Governance and Membership, Simons will manage all association committees and leadership groups, including the Board of Regents, and all governance processes. She will continue to lead membership efforts including new member onboarding, membership renewals, and college account support, in addition to overseeing association events such as the annual convention.
- Recently announced Vice President of Operations and COO Michelle Meadows, former Athletics Director at Longwood University, will oversee National Office operations including financials, information technology, and business operations. Meadows will also serve an integral role of support in implementing the 2022-27 NJCAA Strategic Plan across the association and represent the National Office within the collegiate athletics industry. The veteran athletics administrator joined the National Office in August of 2022 after recently completing her fourth term as an NCAA Softball Selection Committee member.
