
Kim Whitestone joins NJCAA National Office staff
Whitestone joins the NJCAA as the Chief Sport, Membership & Event Officer
Charlotte, NC – Kim Whitestone has joined the NJCAA National Office staff as the Chief Sport, Membership & Event Officer. Whitestone brings 30 years of collegiate athletics experience to the association.
The former Executive Associate Athletics Director for the Charlotte 49ers, Whitestone will oversee all facets of the NJCAA's 47 national championships, special events, and membership oversight for the association's 520 member colleges. Whitestone's responsibilities will also include direct contact with each of the NJCAA's Coaches Associations.
"Mrs. Whitestone's experience in college athletics will provide unprecedented leadership and direction for not only the National Office, but for our entire membership," stated Dr. Christopher Parker, NJCAA President & CEO. "With Mrs. Whitestone joining our staff, the NJCAA's premier national championship events will reach new heights while our services to member colleges will continue to evolve. The entire membership will benefit from Ms. Whitestone's knowledge and devotion to all members of the association."
Whitestone's tenure at Charlotte began as a marketing intern in 1991. Throughout her career, Whitestone held positions as the Senior Woman's Administrator, Associate Athletic Director, and Senior Associate Athletic Director for the 49ers. Whitestone's insight into college athletics reached both the conference and national levels as well, including a position with the NCAA's Academic/Eligibility/Compliance Cabinet from 2005-2008 and the Conference USA Senior Woman Administrator Committee from 1995-2005 and 2013-2019.

For her contributions to the Charlotte campus, Whitestone was awarded the college's first Lifetime Achievement Award presented by the 49ers Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Whitestone was also awarded he National Girls and Women in Sports Recognition Award and the UNC Charlotte Professional Woman of the Year honor.
Whitestone received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Jacksonville University where she was a member of the women's volleyball program. A team captain during her tenure at Jacksonville, Whitestone holds the program record for most sets played.
Whitestone is a member of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and Women Leaders in College Sports.
