
Wrestling Championship return to Council Bluffs
Charlotte, NC– The NJCAA has announced Iowa Western Community College as its host for the NJCAA Wrestling Championships in 2024 and 2025.
Iowa Western will host the two-day national tournament at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs, IA, from March 1-2, 2024, and March 7-8, 2025. The event will be held in conjunction with the NJCAA Women's Wrestling Invitational.
The Mid-America Center features a 30,000-square-foot arena space that can hold up to 8,000 spectators. The opening sessions of the event will include eight men's and two women's live mats simultaneously before concluding with all eyes on the final round bouts on a single mat.
"We are happy to have Iowa Western continue hosting the Wrestling Championships," stated Brian Luckett, NJCAA Senior Vice President for External Affairs & Development. "They have continuously created a great championship experience for NJCAA student-athletes and fans in attendance."
Iowa Western has served as the host of the NJCAA Wrestling Championships at the Mid-America Center since 2016.
