NJCAA Lead Her Ship Series: Engage & Inspire
A four-week series to empower and inform females
Charlotte, NC - The NJCAA has announced the creation of the NJCAA Lead Her Ship Series: Engage & Inspire, a four-week leadership academy whose mission is to empower women and advance female administrators and coaches through interactive and informative learning experiences.
"Creating strong women leaders is an opportunity to assist our membership and help the organization grow," stated Kim Whitestone, NJCAA Vice President for Sport, Membership, and Events. "The line-up of presenters is impressive and one that we hope women in the membership, regardless of their institutional position, will take advantage of and spend the time with us in October. Thank you to Dr. (Christopher) Parker for moving this initiative forward."
The goal of the series is to educate participants on other's experiences while allowing them to cultivate large networks as they navigate various career paths. Virtual courses will run every Thursday afternoon from 3:00-5:00 PM ET from October 8-29. Registration will be open to NJCAA members beginning September 8.
"One of our goals has been to empower women across the association and we are extremely excited about this four-week series to engage female leaders on the national level," stated Dr. Christopher Parker, NJCAA President & CEO.
NJCAA registrants will hear from industry leaders on selected topics and have the ability to interact live and ask questions throughout each of the sessions. Marci Henry, NJCAA Senior Women's Administrator, will be present each week to guide the conversations.
